Previously licensed by Brighton and Hove City Council as a Hackney Carriage Driver. Discretionary information revealed an allegation of rape in 2005 but aquitted in Court. Driver admitted to the Police that he had consensual sexual intercourse with the 16 year old passenger in the taxi having initially denied any sexual impropriety.

Licence Renewal Refused in 2016 Driver appealed our decision in the Magistrates Courts and in March 2017 the magistrates upheld our decision not to renew. Another application was made in 2017. This was also refused as The Council remained concerned that the driver posed a risk to the safety of future vulnerable passengers the Driver might carry.
